Structure Description
The Appleton house is a Colonial Revival style house with primarily Georgian elements built of uncoursed rough ashlar. Features include a symmetrical facade with a balance of windows, dormers, chimneys, and an emphasized centered front door. It has a one-story veranda on the east side, while the west side includes a stone fence. The double hung windows on the first floor have side panels and there is an arched front veranda with Doric columns and arched hall light about the front porch. The dormers have pediments with arched windows.
