Structure Description

Originally built in the Classic Revival style, this large brick home was renovated in 1914 by architect George P. Behrensmeyer and now also shows elements of early Prairie style architecture. The building has a long horizontal feeling, verandas with roofs supported by large biers. All is strongly defined by projected caps or copings. The Classic Revival architecture can still be seen in the slender, finely executed columns of the south porch, the railing, and the ornate hood-like fenestrations of the dormer windows.
