Structure Description

Irregular massing, a free plan, asymmetry and variation in outline characterize this house demonstrating a Queen Anne influence. The hip roof with cross gable and large front facing dormer are consistent with the Queen Anne style in its later phase (after 1890). A single-story, full-width, wrapped front porch with balustrades is supported by free-classical columns. The octagonal bay on the south second story and the extended cross gable accentuate the irregularity in outline. The asymmetrical front facade consists of segmented arch windows with stone sills, brick lintels, and wood shutters on the upper level with one paired, large diamond panes in dormer window and in transom over first story picture window.
