One of Quincy's most imposing Prairie houses, the tile-roofed Wewers-Rupp House boasts a profusion of first and second floor open and all-weather porches, six second floor rooms (arranged in two or three suites), a room sized landing, six first floor rooms, including a reception foyer, living room, library, and dining room.
Of brick construction with stone foundation, this home's exterior features a front porch and balcony, dormers on each side, chimneys to the east and west, brackets under the roof, porch, and dormers, a single door entry with stained glass top and side lights, overhanging eaves, multipane sash in gable windows, geometric detailing, and a stone band at the level of the second story window sills.
